Kellie has been involved at Oregon City Preschool since 1999, with both of her children attending. She served on the board while her children were attending OCPS as both Treasurer and PCPO Representative. She fell in love with the school and co-oping because she could work with kids and strongly believes that parent involvement directly affects a child's success in school.
In 2001, Kellie joined Sandy Wagner (our former Teacher) at the school. Sandy and Kellie co-taught that year and got the school ready to transition into having a new teacher. Sandy taught morning sessions with Kellie shadowing her a few mornings a week. Kellie also taught the first Pre-K afternoon class that year. In the fall of 2002, Kellie took over the school on her own. She became only the third official teacher hired in the history of the Oregon City Preschool.
Kellie's background includes 4 years of college majoring in Psychology with an emphasis on child development. She also has served as a Teacher Education Coordinator for the PCPO (Parent Child Preschools of Oregon).
Teacher Kellie was awarded the "Best Teacher" award in the 2017 Best of Oregon City Awards.
Carolyn also became involved at Oregon City Preschool when her children started preschool in 2014. She served on the board while her children attended as a Pre-K and 3's Class Representative, Fundraising Chair, and as President for the 2016/2017 school year. She was the substitute Assistant Teacher at Oregon City Preschool as well last year.
Carolyn is involved in many non-profit volunteer activities throughout Oregon City and at one of the local elementary schools.
